Liverpool's Star Issues Apology to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah apologised to the team after the uproar from his televised remarks.
The Incident
The striker was dropped from a vital match following voicing frustrations and stating his relationship with manager had soured.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the player.
Team Unity
The player stated that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. Jones believes the Salah's words were not designed to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
