Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

During an event for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his perspective on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this negative culture.”

In response to these assertions, the head of a major education union dismissed the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would undermine state services, including education … and he would be a disaster for education and children.”

The party, which is leading the polls by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

However, Farage’s remarks suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with education – truly monumental. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves rather than what’s happening now where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after Kebede called the party “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted at school, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

At the US event, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He said organizations like it were “key to resistance”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
