Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order issued a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
