Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star has substantial social media audience
The young golfer can count on multiple high-profile supporters as she begins her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in only three events recently and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in professional golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, specifically with the next generation.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced her own apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
